We are a church dedicated to helping those in need and serving and caring for our community.

Willowbrook

Mountain Home UMC supports Willowbrook Food Pantry in Sherwood through active giving and volunteer work. Each year, our church donates more than 500 pounds of food and joyful financial assistance to help fill their shelves.          

In 2021, Willowbrook served 1016 families (4284 people) and provided 60 Holiday Boxes.

Shared Table

Mountain Home UMC participates with the Shared Table ministry of Sherwood UMC, providing hot meals and a time of fellowship to the community.

Bike Rest Stop

Because of our location at the top of a hill frequented by cyclists, in the summer of 2017 Mountain Home UMC established the Mountain Home Bike Rest Stop. We invite cyclists or others passing our property to stop and take a break and enjoy the beautiful view from our property. We also provide fresh water and bike tools for those who might need them.

Prayer Shawls

Through our prayer shawl ministry, members of the congregation knit or crochet shawls that we bless and give to people in our community who are dealing with illness or personal crisis. As the recipients wrap themselves in the shawls, they are reminded of our prayers and God's care and presence.

Throughout the year we host a variety of community dinners and other events.
